Repentance is real and necessary. But the altar is not a reset button for a covenant that never broke, and guilt-driven religion keeps believers starting over instead of growing up.

First, the new birth is a birth, not a subscription. You do not get born again every week any more than you get born again physically every week.

Second, conviction and condemnation are not the same voice. One names the sin and points to the cross. The other names you and points to the exit.

Third, maturity replaces the emotional cycle with discipline. Feelings are a poor measure of standing.

Fourth, confession restores fellowship, not sonship. You deal with the specific, you do not renegotiate the relationship.

Fifth, God is not nervous about your growth curve. He finishes what He starts.
